The Department of Biology is located at Marmara University Göztepe Campus, providing students with the opportunity to benefit from the extensive facilities on campus. In addition to facilities such as an open-access central library, internet connection, cafes, numerous cafeterias, sports hall, fitness center, marketplace, sports fields, tennis courts, amphitheater, and conference hall, the campus's central location in the city and its proximity to Kadıköy shore, just 5 minutes away, allow students to take advantage of city amenities.

Furthermore, the Biological Sciences Club, operating within our department, provides students with the opportunity to engage in activities related to the department and participate in social events. Throughout the academic year, field trips, camps, and scientifically oriented excursions are regularly organized by responsible professors.

Within our department, there are student laboratories such as the General Biology Student Laboratory, Zoology Student Laboratory, Botany Student Laboratory, and research laboratories used by graduate students and researchers, including Molecular Biology Research Laboratories, Botany Research Laboratory, Plant Tissue Culture Laboratory, Plant Biotechnology Laboratory, Microbiology Research Laboratory, General Biology Research Laboratory, Mycology Research Laboratory, and Zoology Research Laboratory, along with a HERBARIUM (MÜFE) containing over 10,000 plant specimens. Our department is among Turkey's leading biology departments in terms of technical facilities, equipment, and trained academic staff.

Successful students have the opportunity to continue their education at foreign universities through the Erasmus program, participate in exchange programs with domestic universities through the Farabi Program, and also have the option to pursue minors or double majors in other departments of our university through the ÇAP and YAP programs.
